Many young people have a difficult time coping with depression. There is a difference between feeling depressed and having depression. Young adult age is a stage in life where you begin to differentiate from parents and develop your own identity. The pressures of school work and just growing up causes stress that can lead to depression. The session is about learning what depression is and how to cope with it. The session will also help you help others in depression by understanding where they are and knowing what to do and what not to do.

51% of male students and 32% of female students first viewed pornography before their teenage years. 1 out of 4 women experience sexual assault. Statistically, everyone is affected by sexual brokenness and the consequences can be lasting and tragic. The availability and prevalence of sexual vices has created strongholds of guilt, shame, promiscuity, and depression. Some atheists argue that science invalidates Christian belief. Are they right? The first half of this seminar will defend Christian faith against attempts to use science to show that it is false, including historical myths, evolution, scientific laws disallowing miracles, scientism, and the progress of science. The second half of the seminar will then raise several kinds of evidence that point to God’s reality--cosmological fine tuning, religious experience, and answered prayers--before opening up a time for questions and discussion.

The different ways God speaks to us will be outlined, along with contemporary real-world examples of each. We will also discuss ways to discern and test what we might believe is from God, and we will end with suggestions for common obstacles to prayer and a time for Q&A
